Question by Ima: On Craigslist, in the Personals section you are asked to verify you are 18 before entering. If you click on?
on the bar saying you are 18 and then respond to ads featuring adults looking for adults, what happens if you are not 18 and someone (adult) emails you pornographic material after you email them? What if someone emails you pictures of their junk? And what if when you click on the ads, and there is nude pictures? Would an adult be liable for posting nude pics or emailing thru Craigslist blind email system if they came to a child who had clicked saying they were 18 when say they were only 15 or 16? Or would it be a matter of too bad so sad if kid clicks and claims they are 18 when they are not? Could an adult who had no intention of displaying nude photos to a child be held liable? Just wondering as I see a lot of nude stuff on there and I wonder if a kid did click saying they were legal, who would be to blame, if anyone? And would a parent be responsible for their kid having unlimited access to surfing those sites unsupervised? Thanks for any help or advice you can offer!
So, IF a child opened an account on Craigslist, then enters the Personal section with their account, then emailed adult posters, who in turn emailed nude photos, not suspecting a child would be receiving them, the adult would not be liable?
Thank you all so much! Just to give you background on this, I posted on the W4M on Craigslist. Simple! Got lots of nice responses and a few who took it to another level. One in particular started swearing and carrying on and it went back and forth-I thought I was dealing with an ADULT JERK-after several emails of taunting-“Suck my C**K and I’ll F**K you fat A**” I fired off a pic from another jerk who sent pictures of a very large well endowed Man and basically said “suck on this!”. I then start getting emails (like 20) from said jerk stating he was 15 and now he had me! He’d let me go if I “S**KED his C**K” I had no idea it was some kid-when I declined-he stated he called his mom they were waiting for the Sheriff and warrants, investigations and so on were occurring. It NEVER occurred to me I was dealing with a kid…EVER! I feel like an idiot for getting in a battle of wits, but am more concerned that I could go to jail or be prosecuted for somet

You need to configure your age before entering it should ask you before creating a account besides that you will get block if you don’t have one yet active
